(ECNS) -- Several 3C certifications for Shenzhen-based power charger maker Romoss have been suspended or revoked, Chinese corporate database Tianyancha showed.
The company's legal representative, directors, and managers changed twice recently. Additionally, executives of several subsidiaries under the company have also changed.
Last month, Romoss recalled over 490,000 power banks produced between June 2023 and July 2024 because metal debris in their internal battery cells was found to pose overheating and combustion risks.
Following the power bank controversy, the company has been unable to operate normally. On early Sunday morning, it announced a six-month suspension of production and operations, with official flagship stores on e-commerce platforms Taobao and Pinduoduo already closed.
