Whooper swans thrive in North China wetland park

(ECNS) -- Whooper swans forage and play in Jingwei Lake National Wetland Park in Shanxi Province in late autumn.

In recent years, Jingwei Lake National Wetland Park has strengthened wetland protection.

The water quality has been improved due to a series of measures, including a fishing ban and silt clearance.

The number of wild birds in the lake area has been increasing, while ecological diversity has been guaranteed.

The whooper swan is enlisted as a class II protected species in China.
