Sound of China: Konghou

(ECNS) -- Konghou, the ancient Chinese harp, has a history of more than 2,000 years. The instrument became extinct during the Ming Dynasty (1368 – 1644) and was revived in the 20th century. In its heyday, Konghou existed in three main types, which are the vertical, the horizontal, and the phoenix-headed.

箜篌是一種撥弦樂器,在中國有2000多年歷史。箜篌絕響于明代,在幾代中國音樂人的研究下于20世紀又重新面世。古代箜篌有著三種形制：分別是豎箜篌、臥箜篌和鳳首箜篌。
