(ECNS) -- China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China's securities regulator, unveiled its new logo design on Monday, replacing its previous triangular emblem with a new one featuring three V-shaped embracing elements.
The regulator also changed its Weibo profile picture to the new logo. The former logo, introduced in May 2012, consisted of three red triangles forming the Chinese character "gong," symbolizing the commission's commitment to the principles of transparency, fairness, and equity in securities markets.
Stock investors had jokingly compared the interlocking pattern to being "trapped" in stock market losses. Following the redesign, many netizens commented that they had "finally been liberated from the stock market."
