China seeks UNESCO listing for Nanjing Massacre, 'comfort women' (5/6)

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on June 10, 2014 that China will file an application with the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to list documents related to Nanjing Massacre and ”comfort women” in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register. Comfort women were women and girls forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II.
