Tibetans celebrate Shoton Festival by holding yak-riding?race

A village in Lhasa, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, held a series of activities to celebrate the Shoton Festival, also known as Yogurt Festival. 　

The festival is one of the most important traditional holidays in Lhasa. 　

Activities include a yak-riding race, equestrian show, sandbag holding, and tug of war. At the scene of the yak-riding race, it could be seen that the herders dressed their yaks and walked confidently to the starting line. When the race began, the riders drove the yaks and rushed to the finish line. The spectators all cheered for each yak. 　

At the competition site of holding sandbags, male competitors picked up 110 kg sandbags while female competitors picked up 90 kg sandbags. The exciting game won bursts of applause.
