At 5 a.m. on Sunday, Dianjian fishing port in Beihai City, the largest one in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was filled with people. Baskets of seafood were shipped ashore from ships. Fishermen, traders, tourists, and dock workers surrounded the port. Tourists from across China rushed early to buy a variety of seafood at the port. The pier has become an enormous seafood market.
Guangxi constructed a new model of integrated fishery development. On the day of the opening of the fishing season of the South China Sea, Beihai City and Fangchenggang City in Guangxi held grand sea festival activities, planning a series of cultural tourism activities to stimulate the consumption of cultural tourism.
