(ECNS) -- "At the start of 2023, we do see a more uncertain world. We do see the possible recession in lots of economies globally. I think China will consolidate its economic position in 2023. It will generate domestic demand and reposition itself as a leader in Asia. I do see local traveling improving and also tourism playing a positive role in China," says Haroon Sharif, former Minister of State of Pakistan in an interview with China News Network.
"The leadership of China is looking at more people-centric approach, so we do see some major development in terms of a better quality of life for Chinese people, cleaner air quality and also technological advancement to make life more comfortable for the common people in China," says Sharif, who is also a senior advisor to the United Nations.
He wishes the leadership of China and people of China a happy New Year, and more stability and more prosperity in future.
