Thanks to the marvelous BDS, China's homemade map software amazes users with a range of functions. More surprisingly, the Short-Message Communication function allows smooth communication of a cellphone without the coverage of ground network signals.
Boasting cutting-edge positioning indicators on all counts, the BDS is ranked among the top world-class satellite navigation systems.
The successful global networking of BDS not only marks the ending of the monopoly of U.S. and European navigation satellite systems but also manifests higher independence and security in both military and civil areas.
It is expected that by 2035, China would witness success in the development and networking of the new-generation BDS, along with the excitement of full-fledged space-time architecture.
