    (ECNS) -- The Abacus Museum, located in the Mingcuigu scenic area of Yichang City, Hubei Province, covers a total area of 658 square meters.

    It has a collection of more than 800 abacuses made of gold, ceramics, jade, mahogany, etc.

    Among them, the biggest one is 5.6 meters long and 2.136 meters high, weighing 2.9 tons, while the smallest one is a ring abacus with a diameter of about 1 centimeter.

    In addition to a wide variety of practical calculators, the museum has collected elementary arithmetic methods and formulas.

    It also has a collection of poems and inscriptions related to abacus, and set up an area for academic exchanges and training on abacuses.

    In 2013, Chinese Zhusuan was added to the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
