Over 5,000 ha of water lilies bloom on Xinjiang lake

(ECNS) -- A total 80,000 mu (5,333 hectares) of water lilies will enter peak blooming season from June to August each year.

Interwoven with surrounding reeds, the breathtaking wild lotus flowers draw many visitors.

Thanks to local government efforts and artificial rearing of reeds, the ecological environment of Bosten Lake has been steadily improved.
