(ECNS) -- For the first time, China's militia will participate in a military parade themed around commemorating the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression on Sept. 3 in Beijing, the State Council Information Office of China (SCIO) announced on Tuesday at a press conference.
All the weapons and equipment to be reviewed in the parade are homegrown, active-duty main combat equipment, SCIO said, noting that they will serve as a concentrated display of the Chinese military's system-based combat capabilities, new-domain and new-quality combat forces, and strategic deterrence power.
China will hold a military parade in Tiananmen Square, downtown Beijing, on Sept. 3 to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
