(ECNS) -- Starting June 9, 2025, China will expand its visa-free policy to nationals from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, with a trial period lasting until June 8, 2026, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning at a press conference.
Accordingly, ordinary passport holders from the four countries may enter China for business, tourism, sightseeing, family visits, cultural exchange, or simply transit, for stays of up to 30 days.
This move will facilitate personnel exchange between China and these countries, said Mao.
Currently, China's visa-free policy covers all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.
