Both China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) believe that the problems faced by Myanmar are its internal affairs, said Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday.
Wang made the remarks in his phone talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof of Brunei, the rotating chair of the ASEAN.
The problems should be resolved peacefully within its constitutional and legal framework, and the domestic democratic transition should be promoted in an orderly manner, said Wang.
