(ECNS) — Chinese online retailer Vipshop confirmed Sunday that its Vice President of Marketing Feng Jialu is currently assisting public security authorities in an investigation related to suspected personal financial misconduct.
The statement came in response to reports that Feng had been detained during an internal anti-corruption probe.
"Vipshop maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption," the company announced.
Vipshop is primarily engaged in online retailing of branded discount products. Its core business covers a wide range of categories, including premium apparel, footwear, bags, cosmetics, and home goods.
