(ECNS) -- A handover ceremony for a batch of vaccines donated by the Chinese government to Afghanistan was held Monday in the capital, Kabul, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
The donation includes 33,000 doses of meningitis and 33,000 pre-filled doses of influenza vaccines, with a total value of approximately 6.45 million yuan (about $0.9 million). All supplies arrived in Afghanistan on May 6.
The handover certificate was signed by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy and Afghanistan’s acting deputy public health minister.
