Taiwan tour group falls victim to Myanmar's scam ring

(ECNS) -- A tour group with eight people from Taiwan was trafficked to a scam ring in Myanmar, Taiwan's EBC News reported on Tuesday.

The eight tourists from Taichung City were lured by a purported "free tour to Thailand," the EBC News said.

Three of them were released due to their inability to use electronic devices, while the whereabouts of the remaining five remain unknown.
