July 15 marks World Youth Skills Day. Designated by the UN General Assembly in 2014, this special day is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.

According to the UN, currently, more than 1 in 6 young people are out of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme for World Youth Skills Day 2020 is "Skills for a Resilient Youth in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond". As we celebrate World Youth Skills Day today, let us take a look at some youth skill training programs that have launched to help youths develop skills needed to successfully navigate the challenges in today's world.
