(ECNS) -- Six people were killed and two were injured in a traffic accident in Tengxian County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local police said Wednesday.
The collision, which took place around 5:00 a.m. on National Highway G358 in the section of Tengzhou Town, involved a minivan and a semi-trailer truck. Four people died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries despite emergency medical efforts. Two additional victims were slightly injured, said local police.
An investigation into the cause of the accident and post-accident handling procedures are underway.
