Hebei launches new multi-modal transport route to S Korea

(ECNS) -- A batch of goods arrived at Qinhuangdao Port by train from Shijiazhuang International Land Port on Sunday. The shipment is scheduled to head to Incheon, South Korea, via sea transport on Tuesday, marking the opening of a new multi-modal transport route connecting China with South Korea.

The opening of this new route expands the export channels of goods from the surrounding areas of Shijiazhuang, in Hebei Province.

By taking advantage of green and efficient railway transportation, and the low comprehensive cost of shipping, this route will solve high transportation costs and poor timeliness in areas of Hebei, especially foreign trade enterprises.

This is the first international multi-modal transport route launched by the Hebei Port Group. The company has built an international logistics network, including 48 domestic and foreign container routes and 24 sea-rail intermodal routes.
