China's CPI up 2 pct in August  

統計局：8月全國居民消費價格總水平同比漲2.0%

據國家統計局網站消息，2014年8月份，全國居民消費價格總水平同比上漲2.0%。其中，城市上漲2.0%，農村上漲1.9%；食品價格上漲3.0%，非食品價格上漲1.5%；消費品價格上漲1.8%，服務價格上漲2.4%。[查看全文]

China's consumer price index, a main gauge of inflation, grew 2 percent year on year in August, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.

The August CPI growth rate was lower than the 2.3 percent seen in July.
