China condemns Bahrain bombings

China on Thursday condemned a series of deadly explosions that occurred in Manama, capital of Bahrain, early this week, according to a Foreign Ministry spokesman.

China supports the positive measures adopted by the Bahraini government to safeguard national stability and development, spokesman Hong Lei said at a daily press briefing.

"We hope relevant parties in Bahrain can properly resolve the dispute through a peaceful approach such as dialogues in order to maintain the steady growth of the country," Hong added.

A series of five explosions on Monday in Bahrain left two people dead and another person injured, according to previous reports.
