A Gege doll gift from the Palace Museum. A Manchurian word used for an unmarried daughter, Gege was also the title for an imperial-born princess of an emperor and daughters of first-ranked princes during the Qing Dynasty (1368-1644). The Palace Museum said the dolls best present the looks of the Gege in the Qing Dynasty. The 27 cm-tall doll has three varieties, each priced at 599 yuan ($95). (Photo/Website of the Palace Museum)
