Cutting of red tape
China is aiming to transform government functions, deepening reforms to streamline government administration, delegate more powers and improve regulation and service, to reduce the discretionary powers of the government and give the market more freedom to take its course.
The government has abolished the requirement for permits for a number of production and service activities, and merged different forms of certification required of businesses into one certificate. (Graphics by CGTN)
