    Graffiti left by unruly tourists mars the walls of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi’an City, capital of Northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, June 10, 2017. Originally built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty, the pagoda is known for holding Buddha sutras and figurines that were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and traveler Xuanzang. Some Chinese tourists like scribbling messages at historical sites and believe doing so can bring them good luck. (Photo/VCG)
