Police officers check relics retrieved after they smashed criminal rings suspected of raiding tombs and smuggling relics in Meishan City, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. Local police smashed 10 rings suspected of stealing relics and nine groups suspected of selling relics online, and brought lawsuits against 70 suspects. The campaign also retrieved eight first-class state relics, 38 second-class relics, and 54 third-class relics, including gold, silver and bronze coins. (Photo: China News Service/Liu Zhongjun)
