Two children watch as buildings are destroyed in Chenzhai, the largest shantytown in Zhengzhou City, the capital of Central China’s Henan Province, Jan. 23, 2017. The two children, both fourth graders, were born in Chenzhai. Chaizhai has earned the nickname of mini-Hong Kong due to its low-cost house rentals, abundance of entertainment sites and cheap food options, and transient community of younger workers, who stick around as they wait for their careers to kick off.
