Liang Haihuan (1st R), a rural primary school teacher, teaches her students playing drums in Gaoma Village Primary School, where most students are "left-behind children", in Liuzhou, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The phrase is used in China to describe rural children whose parents work in other cities. Left-behind children usually live with relatives, often their grandparents, while their parents work away from home. (Xinhua/Long Tao)
