An archeologist shows ancient roads and wells on the site of a commercial street of Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. Xi'an was once called Chang'an (everlasting peace) and served as the first capital of a unified China in about 200 BC, at the same time the first Emperor Qin Shi Huang's sculptors began crafting thousands of clay soldiers for his monumental tomb. A total of 450 cultural relics including potteries, jadewares, and bronzes were found in the site, according to local cultural relic’s protection department. Besides relics, old roads, ditches, and wells were also found in the site. (Photo/CFP)
