The tower named Yanchangsi pagoda is over 1,000 years old and its tilt occurred two decades ago. To avoid the structure’s collapse, a steel cable was fixed between it and a nearby telegraph pole in a repairing project launched by local urban management committee in 2005. The history of the Yanchangsi pagoda dates back more than 1,000 years to the Song Dynasty (960-1279), and in 2013 it was listed as one of the national key cultural relics protection units.
