Beijing’s main roads have seen an apparent drop in traffic during the morning rush hour on Aug 20, 2015, the first day of a traffic ban aimed to ease traffic during the IAAF World athletics championships and the World War II victory parade. Cars will be allowed on the road on alternating days based on odd or even license plate numbers during the period, the Beijing municipal government says. (Photo: China News Service /Jin Shuo)
