Workers prepare materials to make gambiered silk in Shunde, South China’s Guangdong province. The silk, which is on the national intangible cultural heritage list, takes more than ten complex stages to complete. It is mainly manufactured by dip-dyeing in pure natural plant dyes and is then insulated under the burning sun. (Photo: China News Service/Chen Wen)
