Gu Shaoqiang and her husband show off a calligraphy work given by their friends in Jiezi Old Town in Chongzhou city, Southwest China’s Sichuan province. Gu caused an online sensation and to some extent has become a heroine to an adventure-hungry generation of working Chinese with her resignation letter of 10 Chinese characters - "The world is big and I want to see it”. She resigned from a middle school in April, and the latest development is that she didn’t actually go to see the world.
