A sword collected by Li Haisheng in Zhengzhou, Central China’s Henan province. The Chinese characters on the sword say “Fight Against Japanese Forces and Kill the Enemy”. Li, a piano teacher and now in his seventies, has collected more than 300 historical items related to the Japanese invasion of China during the Second World War from across the country since 1982. Li had the idea because his elder brother was injured during the invasion. (Photo: China News Service/Feng Lei)
