The roof of the China Pavilion at the Expo Milano 2015 is made up of a series of bamboo shingles. The China Pavilion is a self-built pavilion with a wave-like, timber-framed roof. The Pavilion, integrating with both aesthetic design and high technology, illustrates and explains in detail China's philosophies on agriculture, food, eating and nature. The Expo Milano 2015, with a theme on food and nutrition, kicks off in Milan, Italy on May 1, 2015 and remain open for six months. 145 nations are participating in the event and more than 50 of them have built their own pavilions.
