Complete crossbow uncovered in terracotta warriors pit (2/2)

A view of a complete crossbow relic found during the third excavation of the number one pit of the Qin terracotta warriors and horses in Xi’an, Northwest China’s Shaanxi province. Archaeologists said it is the first time a complete crossbow has been found in the pit. The excavation also uncovered a qing, a tool to adjust the crossbow and keep it from deforming.
