    Supercomputer used to monitor smog(2/2)

The National Supercomputing Center, Tianjin has joined hands with Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, National Satellite Meteorological Center of China Meteorological Administration, Tsinghua University, and Nankai University to launch an automatic real-time smog alert system, which can provide accurate air-quality report and also forecast main measures of air pollution, including PM2.5 density (particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometers in diameter), in the next 120 hours in North China.
