Like a scene from Avatar: Glowing blue sea water seen in E China city(2/4)

Glowing blue water washes up on a beach in Dongying, East China’s Shandong province. The sea water featuring the striking color makes the beach look similar to the strange blue alien world of the 2009 blockbuster Avatar. Experts said they should take sea water samples to see if the phenomenon was a result of bioluminescence, a chemical reaction occurred when a micro-organism in sea water is disturbed by oxygen.
