Hailuogou Scenic Area in southwestern China's Sichuan province is the dreamlike gateway to Shangri-La. In autumn, the area looks like a gorgeous painting with a great variety of colors, and the two-month-long red leaf season at Hailuogou has made the place a wonderful destination for domestic and overseas tourists. Located only 296 kilometers from Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, the area is quite easy to access.
