Qinghai-Tibet Plateau glaciers shrink 15 pct in 30 yrs (3/6)

Photo taken on June 2, 2012 shows meltwater running from a glacier in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. According to the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), glaciers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and surrounding areas have shrunk by 15 percent from 53,000 to 45,000 square kilometers over the past three decades.
