Peony flowers bloom in Wangcheng Park (8/10)

Covering an area of about 40 hectares (99 acres), Wangcheng Park is located on the northern side of Zhongzhou Road in the heart of Luoyang City, central China's Henan province. The park's name Wangcheng literally means 'the city of the king', as it was built in 1955 on the site of the capital city of the Zhou Dynasty (11BC - 22BC).

Wangcheng Park is the biggest comprehensive park in Luoyang as well as in Henan province. It is one of the best places to enjoy peony flowers, especially during the Luoyang Peony Festival (held annually in April) when hundreds and thousands of peony flowers bloom together in a majestic display of natural beauty.
