The recent sex trade crackdown in Dongguan, Guangdong province, made the city a focus of world-wide attention, and the nickname "Sex Capital" was practically coined overnight. However, Dongguan is a city far from its recent reputation. Located in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, the city has a rich history spanning 1,700 years. Because of the diligence of its residents, one fifth of the world's digital products is manufactured here.
