Feng Wanqing (C), a primary school teacher, teaches children the language of Miao ethnic group at the Xiaomaopoying Village of Xuan'en County, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, central China's Hubei Province, March 15, 2011. Every day Feng gives one lesson to students on the language of Miao ethnic group. A total of 407 people of Miao ethnic group, or 84 percent of the village population, live in the Xiaomaopoying Village, which is located in a valley deep in the mountains. Local government has set the village as the province's only reservation area for Miao's language. However, with more and more young people leaving their hometown to work in cities, Miao's language is used by only less than one hundred villagers nowadays. Miao's song and language now is seldom heard in the valley. (Xinhua/Song Wen)
