On June 17 local time, the second China-Central Asia Summit took place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. In the latest episode of W.E. Talk, Xu Tao, deputy director of the Eurasian Social Development Research Institute at the Development Research Center of China's State Council, noted that China and the five Central Asian nations have achieved “three comprehensive coverages”: full coverage of comprehensive strategic partnerships, full coverage of practicing the community with a shared future for mankind on a bilateral level, and full coverage of signing cooperation documents for jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Yunis Sharifli, Non-Resident Fellow at The China Global South Project, noticed that since the first China-Central Asia Summit held in 2023, there has been growing cooperation in the clean energy industry between China and Central Asian countries, which directly aligns with Central Asian countries' priorities of accelerating green transition.
Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the University of Peshawar Zahid Anwar observed that historical connections, geographical connectivity, and shared values between China and Central Asian countries set solid foundations for cooperation in cultural exchanges, economy, technology and so on.
