Spring Festival celebrated across China

The Spring Festival falls on Jan. 29 this year. Chinese people celebrate the festival through various ways during their holiday.　

On Tuesday, Chinese New Year's Eve, tourists from around the world gathered in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, to enjoy the traditional activities and delicacies of the Tujia ethnic group in celebration of the Spring Festival.　

The Macao Government Tourism Office organized a series of events at the Ruins of St. Paul's and Senado Square on Wednesday to celebrate the Spring Festival, attracting many visitors to participate.　

The Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing municipality held a snake-themed Chinese New Year exhibition on Wednesday. Visitors had the opportunity to experience making woodblock prints in an interactive zone, allowing them to send blessings to themselves and their families for the New Year.　

In Guangdong Province, villagers scattered peanuts in a township in Chaozhou on Wednesday. It is a traditional local folk custom meant to bless those who catch the peanuts with health and safety. In the evening, a spectacular fireworks display took place along the banks of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, featuring drones, light shows, and various performances to celebrate the Spring Festival.　

A fireworks display was held that same night in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, where visitors gathered along the riverside to celebrate the Spring Festival together.
