This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. Lee Pei May, assistant professor of Department of Political Science at the International Islamic University Malaysia, noted that cooperation between China and Malaysia has expanded into many fields, including trade and investment, cultural exchange, and energy, yielding significant achievements.
The East Coast Rail Link project, the biggest economic and trade project between China and Malaysia, enhances connectivity between the east and west coasts and boosts trade, investment, and tourism development along the railway.
