The 0.015 mm ultra-thin stainless steel product was successfully produced by Pangang Group Research Institute Co., Ltd. in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The ultra-thin stainless steel is known as "hand-tearable steel" as it can be easily ripped by hand, and its thickness is about a quarter of A4 paper. It is a high-end product used in aerospace industry, automotive manufacturing, electronic device production and other sectors.
At present, the product has entered the preliminary stage of industrialized trial production.
