The construction of the Beijing-Xiongan Bridge, flying over the Yongding River in Fangshan District of Beijing, was completed on Wednesday.
As part of the Beijing-Xiongan Expressway, the bridge is expected to open with eight lanes for busy traffic after completion. The travel time between Beijing and Xiongan will be cut to 60 minutes, 30 minutes less than before.
The bridge is 1.62 kilometers long, with the span of the main arch being 300 meters.
