A China-Europe freight train commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative via the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train route departed from Yiwu West Station in Yiwu, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Tuesday.
The train is loaded with 110 TEUs of goods, such as Christmas supplies, auto parts, and mechanical equipment. It will travel to Madrid, Spain. It is the 1496th China-Europe freight train via the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route launched in Yiwu in 2023.
The cumulative round-trip operation of the China-Europe freight train via the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route has exceeded 6,400, ranking first echelon in the country. The goods transported by the train are also constantly iterated and enriched, from the daily necessities and other small commodities made in Yiwu gradually to automobiles and accessories, photovoltaic products, mechanical equipment, and other high-value, high value-added, high-tech products.
From January to October 2023, Yiwu Customs supervised the import and export value of the China-Europe freight train via the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route 31.59 billion yuan, an increase of 16.4%, achieving nine consecutive years of growth.
