Hundreds of camels head to winter pastures in N China's Inner Mongolia

Hundreds of camels have been guided to winter pastures in the Badain Jaran Desert　in Alxa League, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 　

The camel herds spend the majority of their days moving from one place to another grazing. During spring and summer months, herders keep the camels in the Badain Jaran Desert, where they can graze upon psammophyte grasslands and drink water in inter-dune lakes. When the grasses are dry and it becomes difficult for the camels to stand, the camels begin to migrate to winter pastures. 　

The Badain Jaran Desert, which covers an area of 49,200 square kilometers, is the third-largest desert in China.
